NLS Highlights Checklist

Keep your highlight film between 3–5 minutes (max)

Start with your best plays first (first 30–45 seconds should be strong)

Use 1080p or 4K resolution

Export in MP4 format (most compatible)

Include a mix of skills (not just one type of play)

Show game film (not just practice or drills)

Include different opponents and competition levels

Add stats overlay or text on screen when possible

End with your contact info or team logo

Use good lighting and clear footage

Avoid shaky or low-quality phone footage

Use steady cam or tripod when possible

Make sure audio is clear (or use music instead of bad audio)

Use smooth transitions (avoid flashy or distracting effects)

Add your name, position, class year, and contact info at the beginning or end

Use upbeat, clean background music (no lyrics with profanity)

Include slow-motion replays on your best plays

Keep text on screen easy to read and professional
