The Isaiah Sweetwine Scholarship

The Isaiah Sweetwine Scholarship is a scholarship created by Lyon College Men's Basketball Player to help give back to high school seniors looking to attend college next year. The winner will receive a $300 scholarship $150 each semester. To be eligible to win the Isaiah Sweetiwne Scholarship you must submit an essay and email it to nlevelsports08@gmail.com with the Subject Line including Isaiah Sweetwine Scholarship and your Full Name. The Essay should include the following paragraphs, an Introduction about yourself and what sport you play, tell us about your backstory and family history, explain why you play the sport you play and what this sport means to you, explain why you are applying for this scholarship and if selected as a winner what you would use the money for, and explain what you plan to major in and what future job you are attending school for. All applications are due before July 1, 2023. On July 15, the top 5 finalists will be announced and will do an interview with Isaiah. After Isaiah has interviewed the top 5 finalists the winner will be announced on August 15, 2023.

Creating the Isaiah Sweetwine Student Athlete Scholarship stems from my deep appreciation for the transformative power of sports and education. My own journey as a student athlete has illuminated the challenges and triumphs, fueling my passion to support aspiring college athletes in their pursuit of academic excellence and athletic prowess. Led by my dedication and resilience, I aim to honor athlete’s in their journey by empowering future student athletes to overcome obstacles, chase their dreams, and achieve success both in their sport and in the classroom by providing this scholarship.
